Although I haven't been that active online lately due to less and less free time available, our free photos website 4freephotos.com got a new (2015'ish) look this weekend.
Besides the look it features full responsive design, large thumbnails and previews, full HTML5 and it will get more and more pictures. I'm also hoping to get a few more photographers to join and increase the quality and resolution of photos in the near future.
And performance wise I'm really happy with the load times ,but this is probably the fact that the website is built from ground up in PHP without heavy frameworks or libraries, just focusing on our needs.
